Responsibilities of the regulatory authority in Lithuania
The regulator is the Gaming Control Authority under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania (after this referred to the Control Service).
The responsibilities of the regulator include:
- issuance of online casino licenses and cancellation of permits;
- development of legal acts that regulate the activities of online casinos;
- monitoring of the operators' compliance with the current law;
- development of legal acts that regulate online casinos;
- issuance, amendment, revocation of the permit to organize online gambling activities.

Measures to protect players in Lithuania
Playing online casinos is not allowed for persons under 18 years.
Persons who wish to limit their participation in online casinos can submit a request to the Control Service or the website's organizer in two ways:

The set time limit may not be less than six months. If the term is not specified, the limit on participation in online casinos automatically set for two years.
There is a general ban on advertising gambling services in Lithuania — forbidden to publish motivational phrases about online casinos on web sites. It is allowed to specify the official name of the casino, brand, and type of activity. Additional written, audio, or visual information is prohibited.
Advertising may not place on sites where 80% of the content targeted at minors.
